The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping robots and vacuum combinations. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an best automatic vacuum cleaner vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuum with mop vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots that vacuum and mop, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and is effective, but it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

It's expensive, but has many smart features. It's crucial to note that it incurs recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum uk vacuum and mop (go!!) which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect a lot of the hair that shed by our cats, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that let you know when it was starting or completing its task.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it also has distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
