Foreword

You will hear varied ideas about how everyone plays the game, but there are several things to consider. First and foremost, you control how fast or how slow your character progresses. It is your decision and yours alone. How much time and effort you put into your character controls his/her destiny.

Getting Started

From the oldest player in the game to the strongest player in the game everyone started at the same point; Day one! So we will start there.

Day one usually starts with confusion. Your thoughts race and you want to beat the game on the first day. One thing you will learn about Dark Warriors is that, you will never actually beat the game. This is a never ending game with new twists and turns daily. New challenges arise and just when you think you have it all figured out, the game throws you a curve ball. Don't give up though. We have all been there. Control your destiny.

What you need to do on the first day is explore the game. Don't be in a hurry to do anything except train and make gold. Go to the chat room and introduce yourself. The best thing about Dark Warriors is it's community. You will more then likely run into someone who will want to chat with you and help make your first day on Dark Warriors a memorable one.

Also, take look at the clans. All clans are different and have different views about how you should play the game. They are the heart and soul of the game. They protect you, help support you, and most importantly teach you. Choose wisely and not hastily. This could be a game changing decision for you. It is not important to join a clan right away. Take a day or two to talk to the players and observe what type of clan they are. Just because a clan promises you things does not mean it will be the right fit for you.

Common Myth's

There are many myth's in Dark Warriors that you will hear, some of the most common ones are below.

  • I messed up my character.
  • I can see that I leveled up too fast and I am so frustrated.
  • Everyone kills me, I applied my aps in the wrong place.
  • I had all my gold stolen

The list goes on and on. One of the most common mistakes players make when they feel they have "Messed Up" is to just quit or create another character. However, this is a bad idea. Don't quit and don't create another character. It will only get you into more trouble (see Game Rules). Find someone who knows how to fix the problem and move on. Every one of us that plays the game has been in your shoes. There is nothing that can't be fixed with some hard work and mentoring.

As a new player the game has put a few safety nets in so that you are protected during the beginning days of your new life as a Dark Warrior.

  1. You cannot be attacked until day 8 of your life. That means that you cannot have your gold stolen or be killed.
  2. You cannot trade with another player until day 15 of your life. This protects you from being scammed by another player.

Player Types

There are 3 basic ways to play the game as a new player.

  1. Camping
  2. Power Leveling
  3. Spend

Camping is where you stay at or below level 4 training your stats and making as much gold as you can while trying to get stronger. You do not go to the forest or the ven. You find a clan and camp. It can be very boring so a lot of players play one of the other worlds to keep them busy while they camp.

Power Leveling is where you just push ahead and start leveling in the ven, forest and anywhere you can gain experience. You will be gaining AP's while you level; all of which can be applied to your stats. This can be fun until you hit about level 10 and everyone who is venning starts to kill you every revive. If you can put up with your win percentage being low then this is the way to go. You can always reset your stats later in the game when you become stronger.

Spending is the easiest way to become strong and powerful in the game. Good equipment can make a big difference as well as the extra AP's you gain for spending on packages or game credits. Spending along with power leveling can make your character very strong.

How you choose to build your character is completely up to you. Remember, you control it's destiny.
